He is Risen Indeed!

March 27, 2016

Worship: Show Me Your Ways by Hillsong

Show me Your ways
That I may walk with You
Show me Your ways
I put my hope in You

The cry of my heart
Is to love You more
To live with the
Touch of Your hand
Stronger each day
Show me Your ways

Here is also a video to a song based on Psalm 25:4-5 but has no lyrics online.

Witness:

By the time I began this entry Easter had already passed. I dictated a poem on Saturday to my phone and refined it Easter morning. The Lord has blessed me in enabling me to write these poems. The first I have already included at the end of my March 25th entry. I will include the second poem at the finish of this journal entry.

Today has been a blessing mixed with sadness. Sadness because I truly hoped that my son-in-law would come to church, but he backed out. I was also sad because a brother in the Lord was experiencing a relational disappointment that had rocked him to his core and was allowing it to affect his walk with the Lord. He too missed church today because he was so tired from lack of sleep. I am praying for him and seeking to minister to him. This is fresh ground for me. It has been years since I moved beyond my immediate blood relatives to help a brother in need. I have been selfish and lethargic in this area of my life. Lord continue to help me to reach out to help my “forever family” and grant me opportunities for the lost as well. May I be an instrument of Your grace to saved and lost alike. May I may bring comfort to the saved and the message of salvation to Your elect. In Christ's name. Amen!

A simple outline may look like this”

            I. A Prayer for Direction
                        A. Show me
                        B.  Teach me
                        C. Guide me
                        D. Teach me
II. The Grounds for this Prayer

David prayed that he would not be brought to shame or defeat by his enemies in Verse 2. Now he turns to the Lord, knowing the wickedness that dwelt in his own flesh and the enemy that brings shame may be himself (see verses 7 & 11), he prays for guidance on how to live according to God’s ways. May this be the earnest plea of my heart O Lord each day. Amen!

It's Saturday night Eve and all is lost,
or so the apostles truly thought.
Rejected by man and now by God?
The LIE of the enemy, they truly bought.
But greater is He who lies in the Tomb
then he who lies to the world.
Greater in might and glory
then all the hellish powers unfurled.
The Savior was crucified and lays in the grave
to procure salvation for those He came to save.
One more day He will rise conquering death.
In anticipation, Heaven holds its breath.

Sunday has come and a new day is dawning.
Light guilds the sky, the unsuspecting world is yawning.
Our Savior bursts forth from His tomb
shatters the darkness and all our gloom.
God Rises out from the earth
and into our hearts, and gives us New Birth.
That is, for those who truly believe,
turn from sin, and God's gracious gift receive's

Therefore, I will declare this Resurrection morn,
