I will not let the enemy take away my joy!

This journal entry come again at I time I have run up against the clock. We have all run up against those days. Days we are frustrated because we did not get done what we wanted to. I have too many days like that, including today. However, I do not let that keep me from trying again the next day, and if that fails, I will try again the next day. I have determined that nothing shall ultimately deter me from spending time with God. Eugene Peterson wrote a book titled, "A Long Obedience in the same direction". That describes my walk with God. Distractions and unseen circumstances may come to keep me from having my quiet time today, but unless the Lord comes, I will look forwards to tomorrow, I will not let the enemy take away my joy!

Personal: Well, this is probably the worst day I have had in terms of timing for Bible study. I am stuck on these last verses of this psalm after moving smoothly through it. I spent most of the night going through commentary after commentary. Wish some of them would have learned how to communicate better. Sometimes it looks like a bunch of short hand or jumbled thoughts thrown together. I will conclude this psalm tomorrow, Lord willing. I have to go to work now.
