Let me say again that I am sharing journal entries from days gone by but don't let that deter you from reading. I only include the dates for historical context. I do this because sometimes I make references to holidays and events that may seem out of place if I did not include the entry dates.

Worship: I will Dwell by Michael Neale; Let the Peace of God Reign by Hillsong
I WILL DWELL
(Verse 1)
You are my Shepherd
I have all that I need
You lead me beside the peaceful waters
To rest in meadows green
(Verse 2)
You renew my strength
Guide me in the right way
You're bringing all glory and all honor
To Your matchless name
Even though I walk the darkest valley
I will not be afraid
(Chorus)
'Cause Your goodness and Your mercy follow me all my days
And I will dwell in your house
And I will dwell in your house
And I will dwell in your house
Forever
(Verse 3)
You are beside me
Bringing comfort and joy
You welcome me as a guest into Your house
Anointing me with oil
(Bridge)
My cup is running over
My cup is running over
My cup is running over
Because of You

Father of life draw me closer
Lord, my heart is set on You
Let me run the race of time
With Your life enfolding mine
And let the peace of God, let it reign
Lord, my heart is set on You
Let me run the race of time
With Your life enfolding mine
And let the peace of God, let it reign
Oh Holy Spirit, Lord my comfort
Strengthen me hold my head up high
And I stand upon Your truth
Bringing glory unto You
And let the peace of God, let it reign
Strengthen me hold my head up high
And I stand upon Your truth
Bringing glory unto You
And let the peace of God, let it reign
Oh Lord, I hunger for more of You
Rise up within me let me know Your truth
Oh Holy Spirit, saturate my soul
And let the life of God, fill me now
Rise up within me let me know Your truth
Oh Holy Spirit, saturate my soul
And let the life of God, fill me now
Let Your healing power
Breathe life and make me whole
And let the peace of God, let it reign
Breathe life and make me whole
And let the peace of God, let it reign
Oh Holy Spirit, Lord my comfort
Strengthen me hold my head up high
And I stand upon Your truth
Bringing glory unto You
And let the peace of God, let it reign
Strengthen me hold my head up high
And I stand upon Your truth
Bringing glory unto You
And let the peace of God, let it reign
Oh Lord, I hunger for more of You
Rise up within me let me know Your truth
Oh Holy Spirit, saturate my soul
And let the life of God, fill me now
Let Your healing power
Breathe life and make me whole
And let the peace of God, let it reign 2X
Rise up within me let me know Your truth
Oh Holy Spirit, saturate my soul
And let the life of God, fill me now
Let Your healing power
Breathe life and make me whole
And let the peace of God, let it reign 2X
And let the life of God, fill me now
Let Your healing power
Breathe life and make me whole
And the peace of God, let it reign 3X
Let Your healing power
Breathe life and make me whole
And the peace of God, let it reign 3X

Witness:
I’m sure by now you have figured out that two of my major enemies I fight with on a daily basis are tiredness and time. Because I work the graveyard shift I sleep in the morning and afternoon. After over 50 years of sleeping one way, I have not been able to retrain my circadian rhythm to adjust for this change in my life even after three years of trying. Because I work nights I bump up against the wall of no more time constantly. That is the case today as it has most of the five days I work. So when I have to deal with a slow, aging computer and lyrics and song searches the problem is exacerbated. However, as with yesterday, God led me to a song to calm my agitated soul. It was “Let the Peace of God Reign”.  The first song “I Will Dwell” has no website that contains them for copying. I had to dictate them on my phone and send myself an e-mail with the words. I then had to arrange them properly for singing. I hope both bless you. May the Holy Spirit saturate our souls and fill us with the life of God! – Update, as you can see, I found the lyrics and posted them today (12/11/2015)
WORD:
|
Ps 23:5-6 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. NIV |
Ps 23:5-6 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. KJV |
I’m looking at the time on my cable box. I hardly watch TV anymore, so it has become somewhat of an expensive digital clock for me. It is telling me that I have run out of time… again. Never-the-less, I have this one thought. The enemy stalks every waking hour of our day. He opposes our grace walk and proposes leisure in its place. He accuses and abuses. However, we have two that shield us from this daily onslaught. They are the goodness and love of God! So when even simple things seem to bog us down, these two will lift us up and keep us going. My God promises to never leave us, nor forsake us and I can declare this promise to you based on good and absolute authority:
